HISTORY

CLUB HISTORY
“Bunyodkor” football club (former Kuruvchi) was founded 6 July 2005 and named “FC BUNYODKOR”. In the 2005 “Kuruvchi” took a part in Tashkent city championship and Tashkent city Cup. “Kuruvchi” won Tashkent City Cup 2005 and promoted to Second League (Third level) Final Tournament. “Kuruvchi” took first place and promoted to First League (Second Level)

In the 2006 “Kuruvchi” won First League tournament and promoted to Premiership (First Level). “Kuruvchi” don’t have star players, squad was based on local youth players but “Kuruvchi” shown a very good performance and celebrated win. Head coach Khikmat Ergashev worked hard and met the goal

It was great success. “Kuruvchi” had repeated record of “Semurg” (Angren, Tashkent region), “Academia” (Tashkent), and “Tupalang” (Sarassiya, Surkhandarya region) and promoted from Second League to Premiership just for two years.

“Kuruvhi” played 38 matches: 27 won, 5 drawn and 6 lost, and took the first place in the league. “Kuruvchi” scored 94 goals (49 in home matches and 45 in away matches, average 2, 54 per match) and allowed 32 goals (10 in home matches and 22 in away matches, average 0,86 per match). “Kuruvchi” players was cautioned 63 times and sent off 6 times. Record score (6:0) was in the matches against “Syrdarya” (Syrdarya region) and “Miyonkol” (Samarkand region).

In the 2007 “Kuruvchi” set the national record. In its first season in the Premiership club took the second place (silver medals) and reached to the Final of Uzbekistan Cup. Also “Kuruvchi” set a several national records as scored and allowed goals, point, taken in matches with top clubs etc. “Kuruvchi” was beaten by “Pakhtakor” just in the penalty shoot-out. “Kuruvchi” played 30 matches in 2007 Championship (22 won, 5 drawn, 3 lost, scored 62 goals and allowed 16). And in this season “Kuruvchi” take a part in the AFC Champions League. “Kuruvchi” striker Ilkhom Mumindjanov became top scorer in the Season 2007.
